Brussels, An Alternative Financial Centre in the EU
In collaboration with the Belgian Financial Sector federation (FEBELFIN), Brussels Invest & Export organized a seminar on the theme "Brussels, an Alternative Financial Centre in the EU" on 30th of May 2017. The event was attended by some thirty five people active in the financial sector (banking, investment and consultancy) and took place at the residence of the Ambassador of Belgium in London.
Presentations covering the various aspects that could be of interest for this sector (regulatory, legal and administrative) were followed by a panel debate on Why Brussels is an appropriate place for financial activities?
The questions raised by the guests testified to the great interest that the British and international companies have for Brussels as an ideal alternative place to access the European market especially in the post-Brexit context.
